GARRY. -GARRY is usually from,the Irish garrdha, " a garden," as Garryduff, garrdha dubh, "black garden." There are over 240 Townland names having this prefix. The Scottish Gaelic word for "a garden" is gdradh, and the Manx garey, as in Garey No a, "new garden".
